Across the Spider-Verse 3D panel

Remember… Peter B. Parker turning up in *Across the Spider-Verse* wearing a robe and carrying little Mayday? Miles gets his old mentor back, but Peter has become that dad who pulls out his phone to show you baby pictures—and apparently intends to show every single one. Meanwhile, Mayday is busy. She moves away from Peter, swings on webs and climbs onto Miguel. She can barely walk, but using another person as a climbing wall already comes naturally. Miguel is trying to discuss the fate of the multiverse while a baby crawls over him. Peter takes it in stride, shares photos and points out Miguel’s lack of humour. One man is holding an emergency meeting; the other is enjoying fatherhood. Then the chase after Miles begins. Spider-People rush everywhere, and Peter still finds time to ask Miguel for a picture with Mayday. It’s her first chase. Obviously, that needs documenting. Behind the jokes is how much Peter has changed. Mentoring Miles helped him overcome his fear of becoming a father. Now he delights in everything his daughter does—even when she does it on an irritated Miguel.
