Attack on Titan - Eren Yeager in prison 3D panel
Remember… Eren staring into his prison mirror, quietly repeating, “Fight… fight”? After the attack on Liberio, he is brought back to Paradis and imprisoned for insubordination. He launched the assault independently, forcing his friends into battle to retrieve him. Sasha died during their return, and trust among the survivors has fractured. Now Eren stands alone before his reflection. His long hair hangs loose. He neither transforms nor raises his voice. He gives himself the same instruction again. “Fight.” He has carried that word since childhood, but its meaning has changed. Beyond the Walls are cities, families, and people he has met—as well as nations that regard his homeland as a threat. Hange later questions him. Her initial teasing turns into a confrontation. Eren warns that containing him will be difficult, grabs her clothing, and demands an alternative: if she knows another way, she should tell him. The mirror scene can be read as an act of self-pressure. Eren has chosen his course, yet still urges himself to follow it. His reflection shows someone forcing himself forward, even as each step carries him further from the people closest to him.
