Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

Remember… when Ichigo stands among countless swords, trying to master Bankai against Zangetsu before time runs out to save Rukia? Blades rise from the ground throughout the training area. Any one of them could be the sword he needs. Ichigo grabs one and attacks. Their weapons clash—and his blade breaks. He reaches for another. Another strike. Another shattered sword. Zangetsu stands before him, forcing Ichigo to choose again after every failed attempt. With so many swords around him, the answer seems within reach. Yet each broken blade sends him searching once more. His eyes dart between the hilts. His hand closes around the next, and the fight begins again. Beyond this training ground, Rukia faces execution. Every sword that shatters costs him time he cannot recover. He cannot stop to count his failures or wonder how many attempts remain. His breathing grows heavier. Exhaustion weighs on his movements, but he keeps going. Countless swords still surround him; broken blades lie at his feet. Ichigo grips another hilt, pulls the sword from the earth, and advances towards Zangetsu.
