Chainsaw Man - Aki Hayakawa Fox Devil 3D panel

Remember… Aki raising his hand, shaping his fingers into a fox’s head, and calmly saying, “Kon”? Denji has defeated the Bat Devil, but the fight continues. The Leech Devil appears, and he has lost too much blood to transform fully. Only a small chainsaw protrudes from his forehead. He attacks anyway, taking blows and struggling back up until the devil pierces his abdomen. Denji hangs helplessly before her as she prepares to eat him. Then Aki arrives. He neither rushes forward nor draws his sword. He raises his hand, forms the fox-shaped gesture, and frames his enormous opponent between his fingers. “Kon.” A gigantic fox’s head appears. Its jaws close around the Leech Devil’s head, ending the fight with a single bite. Within seconds, the threat Denji exhausted himself fighting is destroyed. Aki’s composure makes the moment striking. We see his contract in action for the first time: he summons the Fox Devil and saves Denji at the last possible moment. The stern colleague reveals himself as an experienced hunter, capable of choosing precisely when to act amid chaos. Saving Denji takes only a raised hand and one quietly spoken word.
