Chainsaw Man Denji and Reze 3D panel

Remember… when Denji and Reze enter an empty school at night, and everything briefly feels like an ordinary date? The daytime noise has disappeared. No students fill the corridors; the classroom desks stand empty. For Denji, this familiar setting belongs to a life he has never experienced. Reze stays beside him. They sit, talk, and laugh. She helps him learn, while he watches her with fascination. Nobody is ordering him to kill a devil. He can simply spend time with a girl who listens and imagine that he attends this school too. Then they visit the swimming pool. Denji cannot swim. Reze moves easily through the water and begins teaching him. Nighttime light reflects across the surface. Their voices carry through the empty space as he tries to trust the water, with her nearby. The night offers him one unfamiliar pleasure after another: a classroom desk, laughter, a pool, and someone around whom he can admit his awkwardness. The water ripples. Denji looks towards Reze and tries again. Inside the deserted school, time passes to the sound of their conversation and splashing water, his attention fixed on the girl beside him.
