Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion

Remember… Lelouch standing before Britannian soldiers in the Shinjuku Ghetto and giving an order they cannot resist? Chaos surrounds him. Britannia’s army is attacking the ghetto, killing innocent Japanese civilians. Lelouch is caught in the conflict and unexpectedly reunites with his childhood friend, Suzaku. When Suzaku refuses to take part in the slaughter, a soldier shoots him. Soon, Lelouch is surrounded as well. Beside him is a mysterious green-haired girl, C.C. When the soldiers open fire, she shields him with her body and falls to the ground. Lelouch believes he is about to die. Then C.C. offers him a contract: if he agrees to fulfill her wish, she will give him the power to choose his own path. Lelouch accepts. When he opens his eye, a red mark appears in it. He looks at the soldiers and uses Geass for the first time—a power that compels others to obey his command. “Die.” The soldiers turn their weapons on themselves and obey. Moments earlier, Lelouch was powerless before them. Now the empire’s soldiers follow his words without resistance. With this power, his path toward becoming Zero begins: the masked rebel who will challenge Britannia.
