Cyberpunk - lucy and david 3D panel

Remember… when David met Lucy on the train? She was moving between passengers, slipping chips out of the slots in their necks without anyone noticing. David spotted what she was doing, but then she turned her attention to him. That was her surprise: David activated his Sandevistan and caught her wrist. Everything slowed down for him, giving him time to stop her before she could take his chip. Lucy didn’t run away. Suddenly, she wanted to know how this kid had an implant like that. She pushed him against the carriage wall and scanned him. Imagine that introduction: one moment she’s trying to rob you, the next she’s checking your hardware and offering you work. David needed money, so they started discussing a partnership. Lucy explained that she targeted Arasaka employees. They divided the job: she hacked their systems and ejected the chips; David used his Sandevistan to catch them and move away before the passengers noticed. Soon they were working through the carriage together. Lucy knew what she was doing, while David tried to keep up and impress her. They exchanged names, but by then their first job together was already taking shape.
