Demon slayer - The Battle Against Akaza 3D panel

Remember… when Hakuji enters the neighbouring dojo with his bare hands after learning that Koyuki and Keizo have been poisoned? Until recently, he had a future: someone he loved, a teacher, and a home where he was welcome. Now both are dead. Poison in their well has taken everything he wanted his strength to protect. Armed men stand before him. Hakuji carries no sword. He closes the distance and strikes. His opponents raise their weapons, but at close quarters his fists outpace their movements. One man follows another. He keeps advancing. Cries and impacts fill the dojo. Resistance gives way to panic. Superior numbers cannot stop him. Keizo taught these hands a martial art. Hakuji used them gently while caring for Koyuki. Now every movement is lethal. He demands no explanation. Attack follows attack until nobody remains to oppose him. Sixty-seven people are dead. Hakuji is still human, but the dojo around him has become a slaughterhouse. He looks down at his blood-covered hands. His strength remains. Koyuki and Keizo will never return.
