Demon Slayer - Zenitsu

Remember… when Zenitsu falls asleep from terror, and only then does the demon realize whom it has approached? Separated from Tanjiro inside the Tsuzumi Mansion, Zenitsu searches for an exit with young Shoichi. He trembles, cries, and expects disaster at every sound. When a long-tongued demon appears, his knees give way. Shoichi refuses to abandon him. Zenitsu knows he must protect the child, but cannot believe he is strong enough. Finally, fear overwhelms him. His head drops. He falls asleep. The demon lashes out with its tongue. Shoichi desperately calls for Zenitsu to wake up—then the tongue’s severed tip falls away. Zenitsu rises. The screaming stops. His breathing steadies. He lowers his stance and grips his sword. Even the demon senses the change. Thunder Breathing. First Form: Thunderclap and Flash. One lightning-fast movement crosses the room. Zenitsu is already beyond his opponent when its head falls. Then he wakes, sees the severed head, and panics again. Convinced Shoichi saved him, he thanks the bewildered boy. The surprise reveals something touching beneath the comedy: Zenitsu possesses the skill he cannot recognize in himself. We finally see what he can do when his fear stops drowning out his training.
