Demon Slayer - Zenitsu vs Kaigaku

Remember… when Zenitsu faces Kaigaku without crying, running away, or falling asleep? Inside the Infinity Castle stands his former fellow student. They learned Thunder Breathing under Jigoro. Now Kaigaku is Upper Rank Six, and his betrayal has driven their teacher to take his own life in atonement. Zenitsu cannot forgive him. Kaigaku still looks down on the boy who could master only the First Form. He possesses the other forms, now enhanced by his Blood Demon Art. Black lightning tears into Zenitsu, leaving wounds that continue burning and splitting. But Zenitsu remains awake. Badly injured, he falls through the castle. He remembers respecting Kaigaku’s hard work despite their hostility. Once, he wanted them to fight together. He plants his feet against a wall and grips his sword. **Thunder Breathing. Seventh Form: Honoikazuchi no Kami.** A lightning dragon streaks across the space between them. Kaigaku cannot follow the movement. His head is severed. He accuses Jigoro of favoritism for teaching Zenitsu a secret technique. Zenitsu explains that he created it himself—and had hoped to use it fighting alongside him. That makes the victory painful. The Seventh Form reveals both Zenitsu’s growth and the future they have lost: two students honoring the same teacher together.
