League of Legends - Pyke

Remember… Pyke working inside a sea monster’s mouth while his captain cuts the lifeline above him? On Bilgewater’s slaughter docks, he learned who profited from dangerous work. Laborers handled the carcasses; captains collected the gold. He eventually went to sea and became an exceptional harpooner. That day, he leapt into an enormous jaull-fish’s jaws. Between its teeth glowed precious sapphilite sacs—a fortune waiting to be harvested. Then the water churned. More jaulls battered the ship. The captain panicked and severed Pyke’s safety line. Before the jaws closed, Pyke saw his crewmates watching in horror. In the depths, his eyes opened again. Thousands of blue lights surrounded him. Something ancient pressed into his mind, twisting memories and filling him with a hunger for revenge. When he returned to Bilgewater, he carried a list. First came captains. Then officers, merchants, bankers—more people he recognized as participants in his betrayal. The names kept coming. Yet nobody could find a record of his remembered ship, the *Terror*, ever docking there. That uncertainty makes his story frightening. His betrayal was real, but his memories can no longer be trusted. Every killing feels like justice to him, and the list never ends.
