Naruto - Itachi Uchiha 3D panel

Remember… Itachi trapping Kabuto inside a repeating battle, then saying his final goodbye to Sasuke? Inside the cave, the brothers fight together. Kabuto relies on Sage Mode and abilities taken from others, convinced he has overcome his weaknesses. Then attacks, movements and sensations begin repeating. Every attempt returns him to the same moment. Itachi has activated Izanami, sacrificing the sight in one eye. Kabuto’s consciousness is caught in a loop he cannot overpower. Escape requires accepting himself rather than building an identity from other people’s power. Itachi makes the immobilized Kabuto perform the seals that release Edo Tensei. That also ends his own return. His body begins to crumble, but Sasuke still needs answers. This time, Itachi shares the truth: the massacre, their parents’ final moments and the choice that spared his brother. He acknowledges his failure to trust Sasuke and his attempts to control Sasuke’s future through lies. Then he approaches. Sasuke expects the familiar forehead poke. Instead, Itachi draws him close until their foreheads touch. He asks for no forgiveness and promises enduring love. For once, he leaves Sasuke’s choices to Sasuke. His final gift is the truth, offered without another deception.
