Naruto - Jiraiya
Remember… young Jiraiya attempting a summoning jutsu, only to disappear himself? Fascinated by Hiruzen’s technique, he gathers his chakra and performs the hand signs. There is one problem: he has never signed a summoning contract. He opens his eyes somewhere unfamiliar. Among enormous plants, a snake is fighting a toad. Jiraiya intervenes and defeats the snake. Young Gamabunta is astonished to see a human child; Jiraiya is equally startled by a talking toad. Gamabunta takes him to Fukasaku, who seems to have expected him. The Great Toad Sage foresaw a child arriving at Mount Myoboku, receiving the toads’ power and a prophecy. Jiraiya wants answers immediately. Instead, he must stay and train. He protests: he wanted strength to impress girls—becoming popular with toads was never the plan. Still, he accepts. Years of training follow, divided between Myoboku and Konoha. Only later does he hear about the future student who could bring salvation or destruction, depending on his guidance. His purpose begins to change here. The boy seeking admiration gradually becomes a teacher concerned with what the next generation will do with its power.
