Naruto -Pain in the Hidden Rain Village 3D panel

Remember… when Nagato stands in the rain, holding a kunai, forced to make a choice he cannot accept? Hanzo holds Konan hostage. To save her, Nagato must kill Yahiko. Before him is the friend who shared his dream of peace. Above them is Konan, who has struggled beside them since childhood. Nagato freezes. He holds the weapon but cannot strike. Yahiko watches him and understands that he must make the decision himself. He moves forward. Before Nagato can stop him, Yahiko drives himself onto the kunai. The distance between the friends vanishes. Nagato catches him, struggling to comprehend what has happened. Konan’s cry cuts through the rain. Yahiko entrusts their dream to his friend. His body grows heavy, but Nagato keeps holding him, as though releasing his grip would make the loss final. Their enemies still surround them. Konan still needs saving. Nagato moves. The Rinnegan is visible in his eyes, his expression filled with grief. He reaches Konan and stands to protect her. The rain continues. Yahiko lies behind him. Nagato faces their enemies, with his friend’s place beside him empty.
