Naruto - Rock lee vs Gaara 3D panel

Remember… Rock Lee removing his ankle weights, their impact filling the arena with dust? During the Chunin Exams preliminaries, Gaara barely moves. His sand automatically blocks every punch and kick. Lee cannot reach him—until Guy permits him to remove the weights. Suddenly, his movements become almost impossible to follow. The sand cannot keep up. Lee lands blows, cracking Gaara’s sand armor. Everyone witnesses the strength of a boy who lacked talent for ninjutsu and genjutsu and devoted himself to taijutsu. But it is still not enough. Lee opens his Inner Gates, reaching the fifth. His skin reddens as his muscles endure tremendous strain. He launches Gaara into the air and unleashes the Reverse Lotus, battering him while damaging his own body. Gaara survives the final impact by turning his sand gourd into a cushion. He counterattacks, crushing Lee’s left arm and leg. Guy intervenes before Gaara can kill him. The match is over, yet Lee rises again. He assumes a fighting stance—completely unconscious. His body continues the discipline he practiced every day: refusing to give up. Lee loses the match, but shows everyone how far relentless effort has taken him.
