One Oiece - Roronoa Zoro

Remember… Sanji finding Zoro standing in blood, only for him to say, “Nothing happened”? Moria has fallen, but the crew is exhausted. Luffy lies unconscious when Kuma prepares to take him away. Zoro intervenes. Unable to stop Kuma by force, he puts aside his swords and offers his life in exchange for his captain’s. Even his dream of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman can be sacrificed, provided Luffy’s journey continues. Sanji rises and offers himself instead. Zoro knocks him unconscious. He intends to bear this burden himself. Kuma extracts Luffy’s accumulated pain and exhaustion, forming an enormous paw-shaped bubble. Zoro must absorb everything despite his own serious injuries. He takes a tiny sample—and buckles in agony. Now he knows what awaits. Still, he moves away from the others and accepts it all. Later, Sanji finds him standing with his arms crossed. Blood covers his body and the ground around him. What happened here? “Nothing happened.” Luffy is alive. For Zoro, that is enough. He asks for no gratitude and leaves his captain with no debt to repay. The greatest proof of his loyalty remains hidden inside that quiet answer.
