One Piece - Monkey D. Luffy

Remember… Nami sitting in the road, stabbing the Arlong tattoo on her arm? For years, she saved money to buy her village’s freedom. She endured humiliation, stole from pirates, and hid the reason from almost everyone. Now Arlong has broken their agreement, arranging for a corrupt Marine officer to confiscate her savings. The villagers are marching to fight him, and Nami knows they will be killed. She repeats Arlong’s name, driving the knife into his mark as though she could cut those years out of her skin. Luffy catches her wrist. She shouts at him to leave. He stays. Finally, her resistance gives way, and she asks through tears: “Luffy… help me.” He takes off his straw hat and places it on her head—the treasure Shanks entrusted to him. Then he shouts his answer: of course he will. Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp are waiting nearby. Together, they walk toward Arlong Park. Luffy never demands an explanation. He sees her pain and waits for her to accept his help. Once she does, the burden she carried alone becomes the crew’s fight.
