One Piece - Sanji

Remember… Sanji bringing Luffy food after beating him and trying to drive him away? Luffy had refused to fight back. Instead, he promised to wait, eat nothing until Sanji returned, and declared that he could not become Pirate King without him. Now Sanji returns. Luffy is injured and starving. The food has fallen from its box and been soaked by rain, but Luffy eats it anyway. Sanji warns him it is ruined. Luffy calls it delicious. Still, Sanji insists he cannot return. He attacked his captain, Zeff remains threatened, and the Vinsmokes face assassination at the wedding. He presents his departure as something already decided. Luffy listens, then punches him and demands to hear what he truly wants. Sanji breaks into tears. “I want to go back to the Sunny.” But he cannot abandon the family who tormented him throughout his childhood. Knowing their cruelty does not make him willing to watch them die. Luffy’s answer is simple: they will crash the wedding, save his family, and return together. Sanji no longer has to choose between his friends and his conscience. Luffy hears his real wish—and stands beside him to make it possible.
