Resident Evil 4 REMAKE - Leon and Ashely

Remember… Leon and Ashley riding into open water on a jet ski at the end of the Resident Evil 4? Behind them, the island explodes. Moments earlier, they were racing through a collapsing tunnel, dodging obstacles to reach the exit. Now the sea stretches ahead. Nobody is chasing them, and Ashley can finally think beyond surviving the next few seconds. Sitting behind Leon, she suggests that once they get home, she could have him assigned as her personal bodyguard. Leon politely declines. She no longer needs him watching over her. Ashley tries a more playful approach: perhaps they could spend some “overtime” together afterward? Leon gives a brief answer: “Sorry.” The rejection does not spoil the mood. Ashley changes the subject to Ada, curious about the mysterious woman who clearly matters to him. Leon describes her as a part of his life he cannot forget. After the relentless danger, their conversation suddenly feels ordinary: teasing, flirting, and questions about someone’s complicated past. That ease reveals how much has changed between them. Ashley feels safe enough to joke, while Leon responds warmly without abandoning his boundaries. For once, they can talk about something beyond the danger that brought them together.
